Over recent years, a new technology has been developed which has already allowed a significant improvement in the performance of sonar equipment in both military and commercial
markets. The new technology utilises 1:3 composite piezoelectric technology to improve the characteristics of the transducer element, which is effectively the heart of any good sonar.
Sonavision has been very actively involved with this new enabling technology and applications for the technology is given both from currently available commercial equipment and the future applications in advanced electronically steered arrays.
